Mt Footstool

Before we climbed Mt Cook in 2008 we went up Mt Footstool as a warm-up trip. The East Ridge was broken when we were up there so we went up Northeast Ridge from Sefton Bivy. The glaciers had good freeze overnight so we cruised up, boot skied down and back at village for a jug in the afternoon. Fun!

Just another bloody beautiful sunrise

Mt Cook at last!

In a perfect day of December 2008, Ed, Asher, Ivan and I finally climbed Mt Cook via Linda Glacier. We started the climb at 1 am and took us 15 hours back to Plateau Hut. Snow condition was perfect and each one of us had a blast! We walked out via Cinerama Col the day after.
